During the summer of 2005, he pitched in the AAABA (All-American Amateur Baseball Association) League in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and saw himself named Rookie of the Year that summer. In 2007, he saw his Delweld team capture the AAABA regular season championship. Martin spent the 2018-19 seasons as an assistant coach at Penn State Altoona. At The Bullpen, he will focus on all aspects of pitching development and work with kids of all ages.

In his first year as skipper of the Paul Carpenters organization, he saw his club capture the AAABA crown.
Shaffer holds a nationally recognized certification for Hitting Development and Programming. Currently, he resides in California, Pa. where he serves as an assistant coach at California University of Pennsylvania under legendary head coach Mike Conte. Shaffer also serves as The Bullpen Bulls 15U head coach.
During his collegiate playing career at Clarion (three years), he saw time on the field from the moment he arrived on campus as a freshman. Shaffer finished his career with 144 games played while scoring 45 total runs. He also recorded 12 doubles, 10 stolen bases and 31 RBI's.

Shawna Bellaud

Name: Shawna Bellaud
Title: Director of Softball Operations
Bio: Bellaud, who joined The Bullpen in September 2020, is the current Director of Softball Operations at The Bullpen. She is the current head softball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a graduate of Manchester West high school in New Hampshire. Bellaud brings over 14 years of coaching experience to The Bullpen and has served as a coach in many different capacities.
Prior to arriving in Indiana, she served as an assistant coach and the Director of Video Operations at Division I Coastal Carolina. She also served as a head coach at St. Anselm as well as an assistant coach at IUP prior to accepting the head coaching position.
During her time as a student-athlete at New Hampshire Technical Institute, she was an All-Conference First Teamer, nominated as the teams Most Valuable Player, and also was nominated a team captain both years on the team. After her transfer to Lock Haven, she was able to help lead the Lady Eagles to finish third in the nation.
