Bio:  Bellaud, who joined The Bullpen in September 2020, is the current Director of Softball Operations at The Bullpen.  She is the current head softball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a graduate of Manchester West high school in New Hampshire.  Bellaud brings over 14 years of coaching experience to The Bullpen and has served as a coach in many different capacities. 

Prior to arriving in Indiana, she served as an assistant coach and the Director of Video Operations at Division I Coastal Carolina.  She also served as a head coach at St. Anselm as well as an assistant coach at IUP prior to accepting the head coaching position.  

During her time as a student-athlete at New Hampshire Technical Institute, she was an All-Conference First Teamer, nominated as the teams Most Valuable Player, and also was nominated a team captain both years on the team.  After her transfer to Lock Haven, she was able to help lead the Lady Eagles to finish third in the nation.

Bio:  Rebyanski, who joined The Bullpen in December 2020, is the current Director of Baseball Operations at The Bullpen.  He is a former head baseball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and a graduate of Indiana High School and IUP.  Bringing 15+ years of collegiate coaching experience to The Bullpen, he will also serve as a hitting and pitching instructor, while focusing on player and athletic development. 

 

As a student-athlete at IUP, Rebyanski saw himself named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Rookie of the Year and sees his name throughout the IUP record book in numerous categories.  Following his collegiate playing career in 2005, he signed a professional contract to play in the Independent Professional Frontier League.  In 2007, he was named to the Frontier League North All-Star team and was part of a pitching staff that helped with back-to-back Frontier League Championships in 2007 and 2008. 

 

At the collegiate level, Rebyanski has spent time as an assistant coach at IUP and California University of Pennsylvania before serving as a head coach at IUP.  He also spent one year as an assistant coach in the Coastal Plain Collegiate League in Thomasville, North Carolina.  After his stint down south, he was named head coach of the Butler BlueSox in the Prospect Collegiate League for four years.  He was named Manager of the Year after the 2014 season after posting a 40-20 regular season record and leading the BlueSox to their first ever post-season appearance.  During his 15-year coaching career, he has mentored 44 student-athletes that have gone on to sign professional baseball contracts.  Rebyanski is currently an assistant coach at Indiana Area high school.

Name:  Sue Snyder

Bio:  Snyder, who is the lead softball pitching instructor, joined The Bullpen in September 2020.  She has 25 years of private pitching instruction experience, while coaching nine PIAA State Championship pitchers.  Five of those pitchers within the last five years).  She has also developed over 100 college pitchers across all divisions. 

From 1994 through 2007, Snyder was the head softball coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).  In her 13-year career at IUP, she amassed 311 victories, which is most in program history.  She was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year in 2003 and made 11 PSAC Championship Tournament appearances, and seven NCAA Tournament Appearances. 

Of her former student-athletes, she saw 83 earn PSAC All-Conference honors, two PSAC Rookie of the Year recipients, one PSAC Athlete of the Year recipient, 32 NFCA All-Region players, and one NCAA First Team All-American recipient.  Snyder has coached at every level of softball, ranging from 9-10U Little League, to 18U ASA Softball, high school, and NCAA Division II.

Name:  Kelbi Berg

Bio:  Berg, a Chestnut Ridge High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) alum, brings 10+ years of coaching experience to The Bullpen.  He began his coaching career at his scholastic alma mater, Chestnut Ridge as an assistant before being promoted to head coach in 2012.  In his first year as skipper, he led the Lions to a 13-7 record and a berth in the District 6-AA playoffs. 

In his first year as an assistant coach at IUP in 2017, he oversaw a pitching staff that lead the Crimson Hawks back to the PSAC Championship Tournament for the first time in six seasons.  Berg, also spent three years working with players nationally as a Player Development Coordinator with Under Armour Baseball and Softball Factory.

Name:  Laken Ryen

Bio:  Ryen, who joined The Bullpen in June 2021, is a graduate of Marion Center high school and was a student-athlete at Seton Hill University.  During her interscholastic career at Marion Center, Ryen was a shortstop and pitcher and holds the school record for career home runs.  She was also named Player of the Year on two occasions as well as receiving four All-Conference nominations.

Prior to her college commitment, she played for the Pittsburgh Power Gold’s showcase team, and the Indiana County Explosion after her commitment.  At Seton Hill, she was a finalist for the Seton Hill Female Rookie Athlete of the Year.

Name:  Cole Shaffer

Bio:  Shaffer broke into the collegiate coaching ranks during the 2020-21 season as an assistant coach at IUP.  Prior to arriving at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), he spent time as the head coach in the AAABA (All-American Amateur Baseball Association) League in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.  In his first year as skipper of the Paul Carpenters organization, he saw his club capture the AAABA crown. 

 

Shaffer holds a nationally recognized certification for Hitting Development and Programming.  Currently, he resides in California, Pa. where he serves as an assistant coach at California University of Pennsylvania under legendary head coach Mike Conte.  Shaffer also serves as The Bullpen Bulls 15U head coach.

 

During his collegiate playing career at Clarion (three years), he saw time on the field from the moment he arrived on campus as a freshman.  Shaffer finished his career with 144 games played while scoring 45 total runs.  He also recorded 12 doubles, 10 stolen bases and 31 RBI's.

Name:  Dan Roan

Bio:  Roan, a graduate of Bellefonte High School, played collegiately at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and also served as an assistant coach for two years at IUP after completion of his athletic career.  He served as a Player Development Coordinator at the Under Armour Baseball and Softball Factory and has over four years of giving instruction and developing players of all ages. 

 

As a student-athlete at IUP, he appeared in 33 games on the mound while logging 37.2 innings and striking out 27 hitters as a relief pitcher.  In summer 2019, he served as the head coach for the Baltimore Clippers of the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League.  Roan also serves as The Bullpen Bulls 10U head coach.

Name:  Tyler Adams
High School:  Central Cambria
College:  Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Professional Playing Experience:  Philadelphia Phillies (2019-Current)
Coaching Experience:  Collegiate (1 Year)

Bio:  Adams, who was a 27th round draft pick in 2019 with the Philadelphia Phillies, was drafted after the completion of his junior season at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).  He spent summer 2019 in Florida with the FCL Phillies East organization.  In his second season in 2021, he spent time in both Low-A and the FCL.  In two seasons at the minor league level, Adams has appeared in 37 games and has recorded four wins in 48.1 innings pitched while recording 57 strikeouts. 

 

As a student-athlete at IUP, he tallied 35.2 innings on the mound while striking out 58 hitters (15.08 strikeouts/9 innings) and held opponents to a .192 batting average while appearing in 20 games.  Tyler spent the 2020-21 season as an assistant coach at IUP.  At The Bullpen, Adams trains on a regular basis and serves as an instructor, focusing on athletic development and pitching.

Name:  Joel Martin
High School:  Marion Center

Bio:  Martin, who joined The Bullpen in August 2021, is a Marion Center graduate who was a two-time Indiana County All-Gazette Team selection in 2004 and 2005.  After the completion of his senior season at Marion Center, he was drafted in the 30th round by the Cleveland Indians.

 

During the summer of 2005, he pitched in the AAABA (All-American Amateur Baseball Association) League in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and saw himself named Rookie of the Year that summer.  In 2007, he saw his Delweld team capture the AAABA regular season championship.  Martin spent the 2018-19 seasons as an assistant coach at Penn State Altoona.  At The Bullpen, he will focus on all aspects of pitching development and work with kids of all ages.

Name:  Sean Thompson

Bio:  Thompson, who accepted the pitching coach position at Monmouth University in September 2021, saw a successful collegiate career at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) turn into a free-agent contract signing with the Chicago White Sox in 2018.  The Indiana Area product pitched two years in the White Sox organization and recorded 116.2 innings pitched while striking out 97 hitters while appearing in 27 games. 

Thompson began his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater VCU in 2020.  He holds nationally recognized certifications in Pitcher Development, Programming, and Pitch Design.  At VCU as a student-athlete, he tossed over 300 innings while striking out 249 hitters and recorded 27 wins.  He was a 2015 selection to the Atlantic-10 All-Rookie Team, while his 27 wins is second most in program history.
